Practical Geostatistics 2000: Answers to the Exercises Price: £36.67 |
Details:
Practical Geostatistics 2000 is an updated and extended version of the original Practical Geostatistics published in 1979. Written by Isobel Clark and Bill Harper, this 442 page large format book is absolutely ideal for the beginner in geostatistics. Requiring no prior knowledge of statistics, each chapter is augmented by fully worked examples and by exercises for the student.
In addition to full worked examples, the first 10 chapters of Practical
Geostatistics 2000 finish with a set of exercises for the reader to tackle. This
second volume presents 'Answers' to those exercises. It is not exactly a slim
volume, being 382 pages long. If your idea of an answer book reads like:
Q:
the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything
A:
42
then this is not the book for you. The answers here are detailed, wordy and
tackle the real problem rather than present some idealised pat solution to each
exercise. If you have a problem that does not follow the flock, you may find
some help amongst the definitively non-standard real-life problems here.
