Practical Geostatistics 2000 is an updated and extended version of the original Practical Geostatistics published in 1979. Written by Isobel Clark and Bill Harper, the 442 page large format book is absolutely ideal for the beginner in geostatistics. Requiring no prior knowledge of statistics, each chapter is augmented by fully worked examples and by exercises for the student.

Case Studies is a companion volume to the existing Practical Geostatistics 2000 and the Answers to the Exercises. This book takes a number of spatial data sets and sets each one out from first statistical analysis to kriged maps. Examples include applications in groundwater, wildlife, agricultural and geological fields. All examples include the full data set and can be reproduced on any basic geostatistical software including the free Practical Geostatistics 2000 downloadable from the Geostokos Ecosse web site.
